The Ironwood
Building Description
What It Is
The Ironwood is a fully enclosed steel barndominium shell paired with a full-length open colonnade lean-to running the entire side of the building. Dark charcoal vertical steel panels and white trim make up the enclosed section, while the lean-to features exposed steel purlins overhead and individual steel columns set on concrete footings, creating a long covered open-air workspace or run-in shelter.
What It's Built For
The full-length lean-to is the defining feature here. It gives you covered outdoor space for equipment storage, livestock, hay, or covered vehicle parking without enclosing it. The enclosed main section handles living quarters, a workshop, or both. Built with 14-gauge steel and engineer-certified to local wind and snow load codes. EMB provides the metal building shell only. Occupancy requires Risk Category II classification with stamped engineered drawings per local code.
