The Homesteader
Building Description
What It Is
The Homesteader is a fully enclosed steel barndominium shell with a classic American farmstead look. Silver-gray vertical steel panels sit above a dark lower wainscot band, topped with a dark metal roof and finished with barn-style wall sconces on the exterior. A large center bay opening gives full drive-through access, with two separate walk-in doors on each end keeping residential and working zones naturally divided.
What It's Built For
This shell is designed for buyers splitting the footprint between a working barn or shop on one side and living space on the other. The long rectangular layout keeps the floor plan flexible, and the wide center opening fits full-size farm equipment, livestock trailers, or large vehicles without any modifications. Built with 14-gauge steel and engineer-certified to local wind and snow load codes. EMB provides the metal building shell only. Occupancy requires Risk Category II classification with stamped engineered drawings per local code.
